For those who have been following our Facebook page will know that we have been working on several developments designed for the MG Rover 400 45 ZS. We haven't forgotten you guys!

Firstly is front and rear strut braces. They have been designed to fit the K-series, L-series and KV6 engines with no modifications (no mean feat!). They are in production at the moment and should be ready in a few weeks. The price will be £89.99 for the front and £54.99 for the rear but there will be a group buy and discount for purchasing both together!

Second we will shortly be stocking full front and rear camber adjustment kits - perfect for resetting camber after lowering the car (and stopping your tyres being rapidly worn on the inside edges) or altering the camber for better handling on the track or fast road. The kit will be £174.99.

We now have a high flow foam cone air filter designed for the L-series diesel engine- dry foam so no oil to ruin the MAF sensor and bolts straight onto the MAF sensor housing.

We are also selling quick oil drain valves - making regular oil serving quick and mess free. Available here.



We are also working on a ZS 180 slave cylinder support bracket to prevent the slave cylinder bracket flexing, improving pedal feel and bite point.

An L-series silicone DIY boost hose kit will be in stock too soon.

We are still awaiting final samples for the gas bonnet struts but they will hopefully be coming soon!

The strut braces fit all engine types (KV6, K-series and L-series) and both hatchbacks and saloon models. It also fits cars with the Sheddist clutch kit.

The strut braces stiffen up the chassis; improving handling, reducing body roll, making the steering feel more direct and less vague.

Decal colours available;
Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White, Silver, Orange, Purple, Gold or no decal

LET OP als je interesse hebt moet je dat dus DAAR aangeven en niet in dit topic.
Heb dit alleen maar gedeeld zodat meer mensen hier gebruik van kunnen maken

Hi all,

Group buy for our new bonnet gas struts kits is here. We have 2 kits available, one kit for the MG Rover 200, 25 & ZR and one kit for the MG Rover 400, 45, ZS.


The gas struts are powder coated gloss back with a white Dark Ice Designs logo and information (can be removed if you don't like it!).

For those who have the older mk1 bonnet gas strut kits we are offering new replacement gloss black gas struts at a subsidised price of £8 + £3.00 post and packaging to replace the older silver struts (you will require all other parts of the kit to fit).

The kits require no welding or drilling to fit and are much easier to fit than our first generation bonnet gas struts - simply bolting the bracket on the top bonnet hinge bolt and the ball stud replaces the middle wing bolt.

Please note that due to restricted space on the MG Rover 200/25/ZR cars the gas strut will make slight contact with the bonnet. We have included Polyurethane tape to help minimise any damage and recommend shutting the bonnet carefully. Alternatively the gas strut end fitting can be filed down slightly or the ball stud can be pushed to one side to eliminate any contact with the bonnet.

dit stond vandaag op de FB van Dark Ice Designs :

We are moving forward with the uprated turbo kits! A couple of test turbo's have been ordered - they will be modded and kitted up and sent off to test with a couple of L-series owners including the Rivers-Fletcher race team's diesel MG ZS...

Watch this space; a new uprated L-series bolt on turbo kit capable of 185bhp will hopefully be available soon! Price to be confirmed but it should be around £500 including new turbo, custom stainless downpipe and fittings.
