Het komt vaak voor dat er wordt gevraagd welke afstandbedieningen er zo geprogrammeerd kunnen worden en welke je nog iets speciaal voor nodig hebt.
hieronder in het engels wat je voor welke rover of MG nodig hebt
Rover / MG Key fob (Plip) programming
There are 2 common security systems fitted to MG / Rover models across the year range 1996 to 2006,
‘Lucas 5AS’ and ‘Pektron SCU’.
These systems can be easily identifiable from the remote fob, or Plip, as follows:
Lucas 5AS system (1996 – 2003)
SCU system 2 button remote (2003 – 2006) partnummer YWX000290
SCU system 3 button remote (2003 – 2006) partnummer YWX000360
It is important to understand the way in which these systems work before any key (Plip) programming is carried out.

Lucas 5AS (1996 – 2003)
Vehicle coverage:
- Rover 200
- Rover 400
- Rover 25
- Rover 45
- MG ZR
- MG ZS
- MG F
- MG TF
ECU Programming functions:
1) PLIP Programming
– Once this function is selected the ECU is placed into a programming mode and the user is instructed to press the lock button of any available Plips repeatedly. Any Plip signal received 8 times in quick succession during this period will be stored. Up to 8 Plips can be programmed
2) Read EKA code
– This displays the 4 digit ‘Emergency Key Access’ code. This code allows a manual override of the security system via the drivers door lock. A code of ‘5137’ would be entered by turning the key in the drivers door lock as follows:
5 Turn UNLOCK, 1 Turns LOCK, 3 Turns UNLOCK, 7 Turns LOCK
Information:
- Old Plips are erased at the beginning of the programming sequence.
- All remotes must be available at the time of programming.
- Both new and used remote fobs can be used.
- NO working remotes are needed before replacement units are added.
- The EKA code is NOT needed to allow programming to take place.

Pektron SCU System (2003 - 2006)
Vehicle coverage:
- Rover 25 MK2
- Rover 45 MK2
- MG ZR MK2
- MG ZS MK2
- MG TF MK2
ECU Programming functions:
1) Read EKA code – This displays the 4 digit ‘Emergency Key Access’ code. This code allows a manual override of the security system via the drivers door lock. A code of ‘5137’ would be entered by turning the
key in the drivers door lock as follows:
5 Turn UNLOCK, 1 Turns LOCK, 3 Turns UNLOCK, 7 Turns LOCK
2) PLIP Programming
Important Notes:
- Without an existing working Plip or EKA code the SCU module can not be placed into programming
mode. In this instance a new or re-manufactured module must be fitted.
- If a new SCU module is fitted it can only have new Plips programmed into it.
- Brand new Plips must have the matching 22 digit security code available to allow programming.
- Existing working Plips can be re-programmed into the SCU module without the originally supplied 22
digit security code being available.
- Used or second hand Plips are useless without the originally supplied bar code.
The barcode label supplied with a new Plip contains a 22 character security code. When programming a Plip only 20 characters are required so you must omit the first and last characters.
In this case the security code supplied is N1AE93661040509568088/
Therefore the 20 digit code used would be 1AE93661040509568088
Procedure:
1 Select ‘ECU Programming’ from the menu. Press ENTER to continue
2 Select ‘Program SCU remotes (Plips)’ from the menu. Press ENTER to continue
3 The current ‘EKA’ code is automatically displayed. It is advisable to write this down. Press ENTER to continue
4 A warning will be displayed informing that ‘All Plips will be erased’. Press ENTER to continue, or EXIT to quit.
5 Re-program all existing Plips by pressing each LOCK button until the horn sounds. Press ENTER to continue.
6 Input the 20 digit security (bar) code supplied with the first new Plip using the ENTER button. Press EXIT to continue.
7 If further new Plips are to be added repeat item 6.
8 When programming is complete exit the SCU system and test all Plips
